A Few Photos

Just wanted to post a few photos that I have taken recently.

Of course we can't go for a ride without Dexter yelling "shotgun"!

He takes his duties as "sidekick" very seriously!

"Dust in the Wind"
"All we are is Dust in the Wind"

This is what I imagine Florida must have been like before progress took over.

Can you imagine settlers having to hack their way through this with no maps or roads. This photo I took between Otter Creek and Gulf Hammock on the Grade road.

Mimi and Cheyenne found this Locust shedding it's outer skin. They let the Locust go but kept the shell.

Mikey got a big kick out of seeing this Monster Truck.

He thought it was pretty cool sitting in the tires.

I love this one of him lounging in it.

Here I present to you "Chief-I-wanna-go-outside!"
(Mimi made the headdress for him out of a rooster and a buzzard feather)

Here is his Warrior Grin!

This one was actually taken by Mimi the other day on our way home. This is about 6 mile still and we were amazed at the low hanging clouds.

Had a few visitors to the back yard the other morning. Though I didn't capture him in this shot, Lou our rooster is standing just to the right of the frame. I guess he thought he was one them the way he was strutting around. He had no fear of them. They were drinking water out of his bucket.

Here is "Poppa-Poppy" and "Manly" showing off their hats. Nothing like a "manly man's" hat for our grandson.

This is the most precious thing in our lives. He sure keeps us on our toes around here. He already has two teeth and one on the top starting through. He absolutely loves watching train (real trains not cartoons) videos on YouTube and has a favorite one that we play over and over for him.

I adore the fact that his hair has a reddish tint to it. That is the Phillips in him. Shelby says he acts like me (I think that means he's smart right LOL) and he will copy anything "Aunt Meany" (Mimi) will try to get him to do. I see trouble in our future. He hates to sit, crawl or lay down. It is on the feet all the time. He has no problem letting us know if he is unhappy and is full of "wiggles and giggles". He has already learned to kiss (big slobbery kisses) as you can see in the next photo and "Grandpa" has already taught him how to do an "Eskimo" He loves bananas and apples, can't tolerate veggies and instead of a pacifier, he sucks on a wet rag. (He especially loves it when "Poppa-Poppy" sneaks a dip of tea on the end of the rag!) He is definitely a "Poppa-Poppy" baby.

I absolutely adore this child!

Here he sits in his high-chair watching the train video.

He is thoroughly enthralled with it, and will watch it over and over again.

Just enjoying playing with his duckies.

Absolutely the most precious baby on this earth. (and I am not prejudice one little bit!)
