This is Tyler Lukas Williams. He is 14 months old.
Ben and Krystal Williams and Tyler.
Ben is Shelby's brother. He and Krystal live in Las Vegas Nevada with their 14 month old son Tyler. Ben is serving in the Air Force and is stationed at Nellis Air Force Base.
On April 15th, Tyler was diagnosed with "Retinoblastoma".
Definition of retinoblastoma: Cancer that forms in the tissues of the retina (the light-sensitive layers of nerve tissue at the back of the eye). Retinoblastoma usually occurs in children younger than 5 years. It may be hereditary or nonhereditary (sporadic).
At this point it is not known if Tyler got this from the heredity gene or not. And if he did which parent carries it. On Tuesday Ben and Krystal will be taking Tyler to Los Angeles Children's Hospital in California. We will know more then.
For now I would like to ask that you pray for them and for Shelby and the rest of her family as it is so hard being so far away from them. Shelby feels so helpless (I haven't added a prognosis on here for fear it will only upset her more).
I pray that they receive only good news from the hospital. I will keep you updated.

So what can this do to him will it spread, will he go blind or what. and can they fix it. Tell shelby I will be praying for him.
why can't cancer just leave kids alone? why pick on them they never did anything wrong!!
