Now come on in, have a seat and a cup of tea and lets chat a little.

Thought I would continue to tell you a little more about myself. You may be wondering why I call my blog "Sew Little Time" and have a picture of a basket of thread up when I hardly ever mention sewing. I truly love sewing, quilting and cross stitching, however about 6 months ago the tingling and numbness in my hands started becoming so severe I couldn't feel the needle in my fingers. I really love to hand piece my quilt tops and it is such a disappointment to not be able to sew these days. Of course Carpal Tunnel is one of the causes, but I also have hypothyroidism and tingling and feeling like my hands are swollen are one of the symptoms. So anyway I sew when I can.
Now as for the basket of thread on my profile. I, being a quilter am also a fabric- aholic and I have this really bad need to purchase threads in the exact same colors as the fabrics I am buying. However I only use white, natural and black to sew or quilt with. So I am the proud owner of a rainbow of threads. As for the fabric collection, I honestly did not know how much I had until my niece got her new sewing machine the other day and I told her I would give her some fabric to get started with. When we got through she left her with one of those huge rubbermaid totes. I will sheepishly admit here that it was one of three totes full that I had stored next door at my sons house. Kind of shocking when you put it all in perspective, because it doesn't even begin to compare with what I have at my house.
My niece, Windy, is the daughter of my sister Sissie and the mother of my grand-nephew Devan whom I mentioned in yesterdays post. Since Sissie lives in WV and my son has decided to wait to give me a grandchild I have sort of adopted Devan as my own. I was lucky enough to be present at his birth. Now that is a story in itself and will save it for later in the week. (Don't worry, I won't be grossing anyone out, just embarrassing myself LOL!) Devan is now 2 years old and can steal you heart with just a look. He calls me "Nanna", well usually it's "NANNNNNNNAAAA!!! He sure knows how to get your attention.
Whoa! I could keep on chatting all day if you let me so I will stop for now and let you go on to the next blog party so you can mingle some more. Be sure to visit again and I will tell you a few more things about myself.

Have a great weekend and party on!!

Just stopping by on the party circuit. Thanks for the hospitality! I too have heelers, and they chase birds, each other and my teenagers. They think we are cattle, I guess. Gotta love them. If you get a chance, stop by my place for virtual cup of coffee and some party chit chat.
